Mrlee.1986
Apologies if I've put this in the wrong thread, but I've noticed on each of my previous 6 seasons, I always seem to kick off the season by losing at least 6 league games out of the first 10, and then as soon as I get to October, the team steps up and goes on a 10/15 match unbeaten run - any ideas why they are useless at the start? Is that my fault for a bad pre-season or am I missing something..?
WorsethanBigRon
Make sure you put them through 3-4 weeks of fitness training right at the start, but keep match prep on 'more match training' and 'match tactics' then i put fat oafs like Diego Costa on extra stamina training. My teams usually start like a train so i hope this helps you out.
herne79
Putting your team on Fitness Training in the General Training section does nothing to improve match fitness / condition. Fitness Training only looks to improve player physical attributes. To get players match fit during pre-season, you have to play them in friendlies. Mrlee.1986
Bigron, thanks mate, I'll give that a try next preseason.. Herne.. They are fit, both fitness and sharpness, they are just completely useless until October.. This season I had a perfect unbeaten preseason, but then the league started with a w2-d4-L8 and a goal difference of -17.. Wasn't exactly brilliant lol
KlaaZ
Tactical familiarity perhaps?
