Inno17
Good morning all, I'm having no joy getting my board to build a new stadium and was wondering if I can do anything else to support my case when making the request. At the end of my first season the board agreed to increase capacity of the stadium, it went from 43,000 to 50,000 it was completed and now we fill the stadium for pretty much every Home game except some Capital One Cup / FA Cup games, our average attendance is well over 49,000. The stadium is now at maximum development and the capacity cannot be increased any further, the only option is to 'Build New Stadium'. We have plenty of money and the club are always increasing wage and transfer budgets. I have tried saying the money would be better spent on a new stadium but the request is rejected. The rejection is always consistent they say that without an increase in our fan base a new stadium would bring about more issues than it solves. I find that hugely frustrating given that we fill the stadium every week. I made a request to add an affiliate to increase our worldwide reputation which was accepted I added Sao Paolo as they had the highest rep and that was all completed successfully, should I add an affiliate in a different country also? If so, which country? I was recently invited for contract talks which broke down when I requested the board build a new stadium as part of the clubs vision, again their rejection was consistent 'without an increase in our fan base a new stadium would bring about more issues than it solves'. We are winning trophies, last year we won the Prem & CL and this year we are doing well in the League, CL and won the World Club Championship. Can anybody advise on anything I can do to increase the clubs fan base or persuade the board to build a new stadium????
dllu
I assume your stadium is more than 20 years old (otherwise the option to request a new one shouldn't even be available). So based on what you write, probably not much else to do than just keep trying. Also, clubs don't just go around building new stadiums on a whim, as it is obviously a huge investment even if you have the money, so I think it is fair enough that it should be difficult to achieve. SI Staff Seb Wassell Posted January 14, 2016 SI Staff Share Posted January 14, 2016 Hey wesleymcuk, The 25 year rule goes off the 'Year Rebuilt' date if there is one, if not it goes off the 'Year Built' date. Cheers, Seb.

DarkSleeper
Increasing ur fan base can help when u add more different nationalities to ur team. Who also play for their country or have a chance to be selected. For instance, adding asian players helps building ur fan base in Asia. Since it raises intrest in ur team when a local plays there. Same goes for ur training camps pre-season. Keeping them in Asia or USA and playing local teams there puts u on the map. This is just a thought though. I don't know if it works like that in the game but it does in real life.

Cheers, Seb. Okay so I have a 'year rebuit' date on mine of 1994, so I should just wait until 2019? Is that 1.1.2019 or the start of the 2018/19 season or even start of the 2019/20 season? DarkSleeper
U shouldn't get the option to build a new stadium if ur not over ur 25 years. Thats just confusing.
dllu
Okay so I have a 'year rebuit' date on mine of 1994, so I should just wait until 2019? Is that 1.1.2019 or the start of the 2018/19 season or even start of the 2019/20 season? Whether it's 25 (news to me) or 20 years (based on empirical evidence from earlier FM versions), it should be the date given in the club landmarks. So if the new stadium was opened on e.g. 14.7.1994, it would be 14.7.2014 (or possibly 2019). Since this obviously happened before the start of the game, you could try and look in the editor to see the exact date. U shouldn't get the option to build a new stadium if ur not over ur 25 years. Thats just confusing. Exactly, and I am 99% sure that you don't - which leads me to believe that Seb is right and the limit has indeed been changed to 25 years, since Inno doesn't have the option. mikaild
Hi all, you need to have an old, small (depends on the demand from your fans) stadium. Also you have to be financially so strong and you have to have legendary successes if you build a new stadium
Sziklamester
I have the same needs in football manager 2015. I tried many clubs and not a single club wanted to build a new stadium. My question is the next. How much is the minimum funds what needs to achieve a new stadium building and what is the seat amount? A mod or code would be nice to make optionable to build a stadium with example : 1000 seat for 100000 money. ( in dollar ). I don't have the latest versions of the game because I am happy with the Fm2015 overall but not sure if this feature added on the later games if not it would be nice to design your stadium look, how much costs certain upgrades and how much cost per seat. So if you have the funds then you can design a stadium. I know this feature is a bit beyond the original ( you are the manager ) serie but would be nice to become a director or chairman of a club what you made or become an existing club high member after years of service. Just some idea.
