jaaamees
I'm currently playing as Swansea City in the Premier League during the 2015/2016 season. I have a largely unchanged side, apart from Routledge who I sold for £5million and two loan signings: Paddy McNair and Tom Carroll. I'm sitting in 4th and it is December. I'm having real trouble batting off attention from 'bigger' sides who want Jonjo Shelvey, Sigurdsson, Ayew and Ki. They flagged up on my home screen saying they were unhappy and my back was against the wall so I had to decline talking to them and instead trusted Ashley Williams to talk some sense into them. Some of the teams are even lower than Swansea in the league e.g. Man United are 16th and have unsettled Shelvey who is now demanding a move. I was just wondering how I can manage to keep these around and what I can say/do to make them stay. Obviously the money would be great from the transfers but I don't want to sell my entire midfield. Any tips? Should I just assertively tell them they're not going anywhere? Thanks
Guest
It sounds like you're too late, once players ask to leave you can either negotiate a sale that you're happy with or hope that the players are happy to stay if the club's drop their interests. As irl the best way to keep players happy is to ensure that their contract befits the importance you place on them, a well paid player is less likely to be interested in a move if another club shows an interest in them.
