peterpunk
Hi all!! Hope you do great!! I just wanted to ask something if anyone can answer me. How easy is for a player to change his prefered position to another not too different though? For example, i have my left and right back players just a little behind the center. i play a 5-1-2-2 tactic and i want to make it a 3-5-2. Would it be wise to change my back players to defensive wingers? Can this happen or it is something that would cause problems? I thought of it as something that could happen because they are young (under 21 both) and they have good work rate. What do you think?
summatsupeer
Players have a hidden attribute called adaptability, this is usually more obvious if the player has lots of positions already. The more adaptable they are the quicker they should pick it up (playing in that position helps to), it will just be a bit extra training workload. Players may become unhappy training a new position but you will be told.
peterpunk
Yeah you're right there.... So it is in a way something that could happen. the thing is that i have them go forward often in the game. A lot of my play comes from them also not only from the center you see. I will see it as it goes hope that it will go on well. Thanx for the reply friend !
Dr. Hook
Players have a hidden attribute called adaptability, this is usually more obvious if the player has lots of positions already. Players may become unhappy training a new position but you will be told. Versatility- adaptability is for adjusting to new countries. But that aside, there are a couple of other things going on. If the player has learned too many other positions, he might be prevented from learning more, as each position costs some ability, and there is a block coded in to prevent players from developing strangely. Also, there is a bug that occurs sometimes where a player will only learn a position to a certain point, then stop. If you see him get stuck on, say, competent, then you can try switching the training: if he is on role training, swap over to playing position and vice versa. This will hopefully get addressed in an update, but be aware that it does happen.
