red dragon1978
What actually are these? Is it something to do with the Premier League (England) parachute payments? If so, how much can I expect to receive, and for how long, with a club promoted from the non-league into League 2? I just really stuffed up, got promoted way before my team was ready...I just had one of those seasons where everything went right, low injury count, players on decent form right through the season, most of my strikers scoring for fun...and I only got 1 red card before the league was secure....Definitely more luck than judgement. By the time I realised I was in 'danger' of promotion....my board and fans were basically expecting it and any less would've probably cost my job. Now I'm expecting a really hard time next season, with the accompanying low attendances etc. I'll need all the extra money I can get and it would be good to be able to plan a little bit in advance, knowing I've got 'X' amount coming in from these payments. Interesting side note...since I gained promotion (with a few games to spare) I've had both my leftbacks sent off, and 3 of 5 strikers are currently out injured, following one of the cleanest and most injury free seasons of my FM life. Definitely the weirdest set of circumstances I've ever seen, although I'm sure someone will tell me there's a logical explanation!
Cougar2010
Solidarity payments are payments made from the TV money the EPL receive that go to Championship, League 1 & League 2 clubs. I believe a League 2 club gets around £250k/£300k each season.
Guest
^WHS^ IIRC the amount also increases if a club who would normally get a parachute payment gets promoted back to the Premier League as the money they would have received is redistributed among the Football League clubs.
