tmason122
Difficult to say without you already having some scores on the board.... What is Vardy? Attack or Support? I would change one of Henderson or Can to a support role at least, or you will be lacking movement in your midfield when you attack with the ball... as liverpool you probably don´t need 4 players staying back when you attack. I´d also consider changing one of your wingers to an attack role (whoever has the best finishing), so there is movement from midfield into forward positions. I´d put Vardy as a support option with Sturridge still on attack movement. Then see how it goes
SUAREZ 7
thanks for the feedback I changed to this recently after indifferent results then Norwich(h) 4-1, man city 1-1(h), Southampton(a) 1-5, spurs (A) 5-4, vardy is on attack I obviously need to change something away from home but im not sure what..... maybe a change in mentality, roles or slight formation adjustment. summatsupeer
... its scoring a lot of goals at home but obviously poor away conceding a lot ... How are you conceding? Individuals getting beat? Counter Attacks? Set Pieces? ... not getting the best out of emre can in cm .. Why do you say this? What is he doing / not doing that you think he should? can anyone advise any tweaks The simplest thing would be to drag your W-S and IF-S back to midfield to help protect your FBs and give your CM's less work to do when typically against 3+ midfielders. WM-S with some PI for the IF. I hope Sturridge is your CF and Vardy the P. You need to provide a lot more information to get anything more specific, screenshots are the best way to show what is happening and what you'd rather happen. summatsupeer
You have a lot of potential, but none of them are really top class now, are your expectations realistic for there current ability. Are there attributes not just good for the role but the tactic as a whole? DLP-D don't tend to get a lot of assists (at least in my tactics), mine tend to recycle the ball, start moves and setup the assist, they score even less since they shouldn't really be in shooting range. You may want to add some PI or rethink if you want to use him as a DLP? You need that covering player but maybe you want him to close down more / tackle harder (if he is capable of it) to break up counter attacks more? More risky passes so he could break open the defence more at the expense of some possession. You need to be more specific than the area, is that where they shoot from or the assist? Is it a through ball, cross, dribble past, or something else? Try to identify if its an individual mistake (player form/attributes/mental state) or a tactical issue putting him in bad situations? You may need to decide to compromise something else to help him rather than changing him directly.

Yes, when playing away from home (especially against the good teams) you really should consider changing your mentality and position. Without being able to analyse your squad, tactics and results I would recommend the following advice... Perhaps when playing away from home consider switching your mentality to a counter mentality and maybe losing your AMC for a DMC. I don´t exactly know if this would work with your players, but what I know from them in real life you might be able to switch it to something like this: -------------GK------------- LB-------CB----CB-------RB -------------Can------------ ---Henderson-Couthinho--- LW------------------------RW ------------ST---------------- It would still give you pace and width when attacking, especially when on the counter and you still can play with your best players.... Can could be a DM or DLP on defend, with Henderson as a BBM in support and Coutinho as a Central midfielder on attack role. That´s how I could see making it work.... It´s how I lineup away from home with my Burnley side and it usually is pretty hard to breakdown and still offers plenty of attacking threat when moving forwards.... But it obviously depends on how suited your players are to this formation

jaysdailydose
As another suggested, I'd put one of your center mids on a support duty if not a complete role change. Just looking at it, I see your most forward 3 being really isolated unless your fullbacks are pushed up and make a link with one of your outside forwards. Gotta imagine there's a lot of space in the middle between your strikers and your CM's. Just my thought without seeing it in action.
