iamneallyons
Ok so my question is this, if you select "attacking" as your mentality - well in the description it says it allows creative freedom, direct passing and a fast tempo - now if i then on the team instructions select a slow tempo, short passing and be more disciplined what would actually happen??? Would the team mentality overide my team instructions or vice versa???
herne79
The TIs would kick in. However, note that it is not "slow" tempo, "short" passing, it is relative. It is slower tempo, shorter passing. It won't make the attacking mentality's tempo and passing really slow and short, it'll just reduce them a little. You won't suddenly start playing as if you have chosen the counter mentality for example. And there's really no need for all the exclamation marks . iamneallyons
So should basically just take the edge off the attacking mentalitys default passing/tempo/freedom?
RTHerringbone
So should basically just take the edge off the attacking mentalitys default passing/tempo/freedom? Correct. Exactly as herne79 said, it will tone settings down but not completely negate them.
iamneallyons
Correct. Exactly as herne79 said, it will tone settings down but not completely negate them. ok then so what about player instructions - will player instructions completely ignore team instructions? Cleon
ok then so what about player instructions - will player instructions completely ignore team instructions? No they stack on top.
lewis999
When you change something player instruction wise look at the little bars and see if player X is passing it as short as you want or player Y is closing down as much or as little as you want for your style. iamneallyons
No they stack on top. how do you mean they stack on top??? I would have thought if your giving a player a specific instruction, he would carry that out before a team instruction thus negating the team instruction for said player? IE said player has more direct passes/roaming enabled - team instructions say short passing/no roaming - what would this player do on the field? follow player instructions or team instructions? Roaming is the exception to the rule obviously. But in your example if someone had direct passing and you gave him a short passing PI then his passing would still be direct, just a slightly shorter version of direct. In older version before FM15 they did overwrite but it was changed in FM15 and they now stack.
