Not receiviing the promotion raise as a manager, why?

I signed a contract with a promotion raise clause and promoted my team, but my raise remained the same. The tooltip did not say that the term doesn't apply this season and well it should because it's 2 year contract. If I receive no raise it is completely moot.

It's the second time and I'm upset about it because most of the players receive more salaries than me. 2 seasons ago I had a contract with promotion raise and yearly raise clause and only the latter applied even after the new season had started.

Is it a bug or am I missing something?

You already said the reason.

The clause doesn't apply to this season.

If you sign a contract late in the season when promotion is probable than the clause doesn't apply as you knew when you signed the contract and its exactly the same way it works with player contracts as well.

Contracts for the human manager is something reported by myself and others as a bug, mainly because of a paltry wage offer, and is being looked into, it may be related to that, because it does sound from the OP that perhaps more clarity was needed. A promotion wage rise should be clear as to when or why it isn't activated.

I signed a new contract after playing 5 matches into the season. The chairman offered me 2 years at most, and having the clause applied to next season only make it completely moot because by then my contract will have expired. The wage offer becomes much worse with the promotion raise clause which means absolutely nothing if what you said is true. This is either a bug or there must be something I don't understand.

I agree with a paltry wage offer. I took westn-super-mare, predicted to finish 21st in 6th english division conference south, and promoted it the next season. The board satisfaction was 100% and I brought $2m cash into the team and made the team 9 times more worth in value. The chairman offered me 50% decreased weekly wage of $600. I was previously receiving $1200. I offered that I will retain the same wage and got declined.

I don't see what can possibly explain such irrationality. I'm royally pissed with the game.

Playing in lower leagues I'm pretty sure every player gets a promotion raise even if they signed their contract that season. Especially with parttime contracts in the lower league where you often can't even renew for more than one season. If they don't apply right away isn't it completely pointless that these clauses exist in these contracts?

The explanation that such an increase only applies to *next* season is totally illogical to me. Surely this takes away any incentive to achieve promotion during the current season? At least it isn't a game-breaker, because ultimately wages aren't too relevant l just sign any old contract and then resign if l get fed up.

I like these things to be realistic and always negotiate the highest promotion bonus possible. In dozens of negotiations I've never received the money even once. I'd be interested to see ANY gamer say they have. It's a bug, pure and simple.

Thanks for the confirmation. I too like to immerse myself as a manager so I even try to only sign players with lower wages than myself and if not given enough salaries I move to different teams. I found it extremely frustrating how the chairman simply ignores that particular clause and there is no fuss about it.
