Teams Dropping Out of One Custom Competition Into Another? (Advanced Rules)

Sorry if this one has been asked already, though I had a good look around and couldn't find anything on it.

Is it possible to configure this using the advanced rules for custom competitions? I'm currently working on a new version of the Champions League and Europa League and I'm trying to arrange it so that the 3rd placed teams in the Champions League first group phase would drop out of the competition and into a Europa League second group phase. So far though I've only managed to get first and second placed teams from the Champions League group into it though and made quite a mess of it lol.

As always any help would be greatly appreciated.
