ncamb
Hello guys! I usually use pre-match instructions but I'm very curious about your opinions about that! Do you use them? How?
OrientTillIDie
I used to use them excessively. Almost every player would have at least one instruction on them. However recently I have taken to just doing closing down always on the full backs. This generally has helped my play. Especially as I usually manage in the lower leagues so I don't want their heads to explode with all the information I'm giving them.
inacion
Pre-match I check what my assistants have to say, if I agree apply the instructions. Then I just play some minutes check opposition stats and try to identify the most dangerous opponents. I check what player is getting more key passes, connecting or having to many cross attempts, players with most passing attempts. If a player is doing several key passes I mark him. If a player is doing too many crosses I tell my players to force him to play with weaker foot, if isn't enough closing down. If a player is completing most of opposition passes I try to force him to play with weaker foot, closing down also, to see if he fails more passes and reducing opposition possession.
