bunnybbb
Why some players will easily get cocky when the team is in good run or controlling the match? Is it concentration or which attribute?
HUNT3R
It will be their personality not visible attributes. Professionalism in particular, I'd guess.
Guest
Your behaviour as manager will also influence complacency in your squad, if you continually play down the importance of competitions or matches, praise players for performances that are exceptional then this can increase the chances of players not being too bothered. Few players are especially easy to get complacency, even ambitious or professional. High determination seems better. Which attribute is the most crucial? Ugeine
Doesn't determination factor into this at all? I always assumed it had.
Guest
It's not a simple as one or two attributes, it's far more complex than that.

Guest
Not sure how many ways I can say this , complacency is influenced by many factors & dependant on more than a single player attribute with most being hidden. If you're looking for a magic single action to prevent complacency the you're going to a disappointed because it doesn't exist. Follow the advice in my first reply while also paying attention to scout/report cards to identify players who are not mentally strong & you stand a better chance of keeping your players focuses. Edit: I probably should add that a long standing philosophy in FM is about learning as you play, if that's not how you like to approach gaming (your posts suggest it isn't) then this might be a game that brings you nothing but frustration. Hopefully I'm mistaken & the game is giving you hours of enjoyment.

It happens much more frequently in few players, but not on a team basic, which make me feel there are individual stats crucial to it. Especially ambitious one, they will look down opponents and normal league game easily. Besides, concentration is also important, it is what i found in the experience. Actually, i think the core stat to make more complacency is just one or two stats. People just think it too complicated.
phnompenhandy
An associated question is how much difference it effectively makes in a game. I'm often contemplating substituting a complacent player and then he pops up with the winning goal!
Guest
Agreed, people might say that Ibra is complacent but he's still an incredibly effective elite level player.

It greatly affect the role need high work rate. For my FB, he has consistent solid performance in national team, but quite inconsistent in my game, where i loan him from another club. For my CB, not very significant impact, but it also lead to low rating in some games, who i also loan from another club as well.
