josh381991 Posted March 11, 2016 Share Posted March 11, 2016 Help Needed I have started a game with he new update with man utd I am Playing the following ------------------------------De gea ( GK )----------------------------- Darmian (FB(A)) Rojo (BPD(ST)) Rugani (CD(D))Shaw (FB(SU)) -----------------------------Blind (HB(D))------------------------------ Reus (W(A))-----Schenderlin (DLP(D))-------------------------------- --------------------------------Rooney (SS(A))-----Depay (IF(SU))--- -----------------------Martial (CF(A))----------------------------------- Team Instructions - Control - Fluid- Normal Tempo Slightly Higher Use Offside Trap Retain Possession Run At Defence Individual Instructions- DR - Darmian - Cross From Deep DL - Shaw - Stay Wider DM - Blind - Close Down more AML - Depay - Shoot more, Get further Forward, Roam CF - Martial - Shoot More, Move into Channels Mixed results after about 7 games, the defence seems to be quite solid but goals a few and far between can anyone offer any advice ? inacion Posted March 11, 2016 Share Posted March 11, 2016 You have two midfielder with defensive duties, Blind and Schenderlin. That will result into a big gap between forwards and midfield. Schenderlin should be at least a deep lying play maker support, because Blind already give a short pass option to central defenders avoiding frequent poor quality long balls and to play closer to Rooney. On left wing I will set fullback with attacking duty, because 3 players will stay back most of the time, central defenders and Blind. That's enough to cover the wings. Unregistered User Posted March 11, 2016 Share Posted March 11, 2016 I agree with the above poster about having a more attack minded left back, you could perhaps even have him as a wing back. I would recommend changing the DLP-S to a roaming playmaker and he will provide effective support to your quality forward players. Also I would change the CF-A to a CF-S. bababooey Posted March 11, 2016 Share Posted March 11, 2016 I guess I don't really understand what it is your trying to do? What type of football are you going for? Your defending should be fine because you've already got a halfback and another defend duty mid screening your back 4. In terms of attack, it seems like you're all over the place. You've got an intriguing combination in the middle with Rooney and Martial, and I think it's potentially going to work for your efforts to keep possession. But. I don't really get what Reus is doing in this system? A winger on attack is going to try to beat his man and get towards the box for a cross or a shot or a pass. But then, who is in a position to help get on the end of any of his production? Martial is going to try to occupy space deep and rooney is probably going to arrive later on in the move. Depay's role/duty is okay but I'm concerned you simply don't have enough of a presence getting into the box and being dangerous. Why did you decide to use Blind has a half back? To compensate for the fullbacks getting forward? If that's the case, that's fine. But. If you're using FB-A's then who do you expect them to cross to? Is there anyone who they're going to be able to find in the box consistently? A FB-A is going to be quite aggressive in terms of getting down the line and crossing the ball..
