Timetxu
Hi, First of all, I'd like to introduce a bit why I'm asking this question: I love to recreate and simulate tournaments in FM by letting the AI play out a game between two teams I've set up in a friendly but I've resigned from to see what happens (generate data, look at promising players etc.) I've done this quite some time now and I've recreated a lot of tournaments, but there's one tournament I've always wanted to simulate but unfortunately, is impossible to do so in FM. It's the U-20 FIFA World Cup. The problem is that in FM, European nations have u21s and u19s squads, but South American countries have u23s. Other continents, again, have other youth teams like u20s. The problem is that you cannot set these nations up against eachother for a friendly. I've tried this a million times, even trying to let two nations play a friendly a couple of days before the U-20 World Cup starts in the game (because in that case, FM automatically generates an u-20s squad), but in that case I can only play the teams that actually qualified for that tournament. I've started to rethink the entire idea from an editor point of view and I've thought that, if there would be a possibility to put an extra requirement in for national team selections, I could make the rule that all players have to be of 20 years or younger. After this, I can simply let the national teams play eachother as if they were their u20s squads. My question is: is there such a possibility to put an age restriction to national teams? SI Staff Blue Lou Posted March 17, 2016 SI Staff Share Posted March 17, 2016 I may be misunderstanding what you want to do, but creating a youth competition is pretty easy. Have a look at this in the editor to see how it's possible. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2pMkeCOiuNfVHQzTk5HanlsZG8/view?usp=sharing
