Guest
You'll be okay, even getting sacked doesn't rule out a return.

le_crab
Yes do as Jim says and leave at end of contract.
noikeee
I've tried leaving at the end of contract twice in FM16. Both times the club kept me on a "rolling contract" and I had to resign anyway. So I'm not sure that accomplishes much.
kwest227
I got sacked by my club during 2nd season in lower leagues. I then spent 6 years building up experience and coaching badges and was interviewed for a return to the job years later. I was offered the job but turned it down in favour of something more appealing! So, as has been mentioned, even getting sacked isn't necessarily fatal to your chances of returning to a previous club. forameuss
Sacked or resigning makes absolutely no difference to being rehired. On my current save I've had nightmare spells at a club, once spending roughly 3 months there before being sacked. The next manager spent 3 years there before leaving, and I was offered the job again. No-one holds any memory in this game, except the media it seems.
