Champions League Financial Fair Play

Recommended Posts

I finally got my AFC Telford team to the champions league, and while we were "on course to pass financial fair play regulations" I was denied a license for it and will miss out. What am I mean to do? The only way I can increase revenue is play CL football, without it we will just sink further and further into the red

If you're already losing money as a top 4 Premier League club then you are clearly spending far too much.

In the shot term you need to decrease your expenditure through lower value contracts & probably putting a freeze on any new signings, maybe even raise money by selling some of your better players. If that means you have to sell them at a lower than desired price & leave you weaker (on paper) then that's they way it has to be.

How much over the allowed loss were you?

This is the first season as a top 4 club and our stadium only holds 12,500, which I think is a primary reason for low funds as we can't afford a new one. I'm apparently on course to pass Champions League regulations so I have no idea how far over I am

That wasn't to advocate replaying history, it was so you could raise it with SI to investigate how you went from projections that all is okay to failing, it could be that your board's accounts team are idiots for not spotting the of failing FFP but it could also be a previously unknown bug.
