Football's Next Star, if you don't remember, was a TV show that ran back in 2010 with the aim of finding a teenager in the UK who could go on to be a star of the modern game. This concept was tried a few times and the one thing that every effort had in common was that none of the kids involved went on to have any success in the professional game.

We're going to change that.

The Concept

Football's Next Star will be created as a club in the English league system, starting off in the Vanarama National League. Taking part will be 23 talented teenage footballers who will remain at the FNS Academy for 2 seasons. At the end of every month each player will be graded according to their performance and awarded points. After the 2 seasons are finished these points will be used to rank the players from 1st to 23rd, with each player then being signed by a professional club who has agreed to take part in the experiment. These clubs will cover everything from Champions League contenders to Semi-Professional strugglers with the highest ranked players ending up at the most reputable clubs, so for example the number 1 ranked player could end up at Barcelona while the 23rd ranked player starts his career at Forest Green.

Updates will be provided from the start of your careers with FNS all the way through to your eventual retirements.
