Davey Boy
If i chose to give a youth goalkeeper the additional focus of leadership would that help improve his command of area and communication skills too?
Guest
Nope, just his leadership attribute.
Mrlee.1986
Following on from this... So what is leadership then if it's not communication? Logic would surely suggest that to be a decent leader you need to be able to communicate instructions?
HUNT3R
Following on from this... So what is leadership then if it's not communication? Logic would surely suggest that to be a decent leader you need to be able to communicate instructions? It can be a type of communication, obviously, but it isn't the same as the Communication attribute. That's about organising your defense and not having mix-ups over who's taking control of the situation. Leadership is just a player's influence over others on the field. It doesn't even have to be verbal. Just the sight of the leader (someone the others look up to) being clearly motivated on the field can inspire others to be as well, for instance. Edit: Went to go look at the manual explanations: Communication: How well a goalkeeper communicates with his defensive line and organises the defensive side of the team. A higher rating reflects a better communicator and will allow your back five (or more) to work more efficiently together, ensuring greater overall defensive stability. Leadership: Leadership is the player’s ability to affect events or other players. Players with high Leadership will be influential on the pitch and team-mates will tend to rally around these players.
