leonard.d
Hi Guys, I wanted to know whether it was possible to apply for a job at a club where you would start at the end of the current season you're already playing in. I'm manager of Newcastle and am in December and Barcelona have just sacked their manager. I want to apply for the Barca job but I also want to finish the season I'm in with Newcastle first before I begin my Barca job. Think Pep Guardiola's current situation at Bayern or Antonio Conte's situation with Italy where both have agreed to join Man City and Chelsea at the end of the season. Is this at all possible in FM? Cheers, Leonard.
HUNT3R
You can apply for a job as normal and when offered the job, you can choose to delay. Normally, there's an option to delay for a week, with the "delay until the end of the season" being greyed out. Toward the end of the season (last third of it, I think) that option will be available to select. As you're only in December, it won't be possible in this case. Guest
It is possible, been a while since I have used the option but it's either at the contract negotiation stage or when offered a job through the delay option.

leonavich
Could you delay it one week, and then ask to delay it again, for the season, if you are close to the final third? Like the ability to delay transfers multiple times until one party decides to rescind the agreement

Like the ability to delay transfers multiple times until one party decides to rescind the agreement Unlikely. Clubs usually let you get away with 2-3 delays of a week. I've had clubs reject even a 2nd request for delay, so expect 1 or 2 delays only.
