Kawee
I was wondering if there's any hardcoding with regards to playmaker roles. I'm thinking specifically, not of just how the playmaker behave, but how other players interact with them. Do other players seek out the playmakers more? I got thinking because I realized that the wide-midfielder role can be changed to be pretty much exactly the same as the wide-playmaker role, and I wonder if there's any major difference then? I don't expect many difference by the player himself, but I do wonder if other players treat them differently?
HUNT3R
Playmakers will attract the ball more than other roles as teammates will be looking to them to orchestrate everything.
Keyzer Soze
Yeah, the same happens between for example the IF and the AP playing in the wing. They instructions are almost the same, but the AP will have much more time with the ball, simple because his team mates will look more for him. So i guess the first rule to use a playmaker... his better be a good player
Kawee
Thanks a lot guys. Is there a pecking order when you have more than one playmaker?
HUNT3R
No. The playmaking duties will be shared equally. Your tactic does influence how much someone will get the ball though.
alexhcfc
In a 4-2-3-1, if you had a DLP(D) behind a AP(S/A), would they interfere with each other?
swansongs
In a 4-2-3-1, if you had a DLP(D) behind a AP(S/A), would they interfere with each other? Not in any dramatic way, no. They would operate in different areas and receive the ball when they were the best passing option for their teammates.
