brenosantos
INTRODUCTION "(...) so I went to the Fabián Tintilay to watch Atlético Bermejo's final match in the local league and their manager looked pretty decent! I forgot his name... maybe his name is Julio Casablanca or something like that.", someone called Bryan said while I've been watching a new TV show."I know his name, is Julio Caravaca. He's really average, to be honest", said another random guy. "Yeah, you're right! This guy named Julio Caravaca will dominate Bolivia and South America, listen to me.", Bryan replied. "Oh, we are in a serious TV show, there's no need to make jokes right now... Let's move on! Angelina, now it's your turn, if you answer correctly you'll win 10000 bolivianos!", said Ponzio Corrales, the random guy who is, actually, the host of the TV show. After listening this, I got absolutely shocked. After sitting in my chair, I picked up the phone and called the president of Atletico Bermejo to resign from my position as manager: "I deserve something better", I said. So I've applied at any possible job inside of Bolivia. Surprisingly, some teams wanted to give me the vacant job, including San José, a first division side from Oruro, my hometown. With ten invitations on the table, I decided to wait, because I found the perfect club for me to start my victorious run. I was persevering, and they finally called me at May 29. After a few conversations, I was finally announced as the new manager of... Aurora! According to Wikipedia, Club Aurora is a football club from Cochabamba, Bolivia. The club was founded May 27, 1935, and they play their home games at the Estadio Felix Capriles, with capacity of 32000 all-seated people. The perfect opportunity for me, because Aurora is a semi-professional side, but with national reputation and some honours, despite being in the Second Division. That's it, so now let's have a look at our hero, Julio Caravaca: Meh, that's not good. No experience and no coaching qualifications. I will work on this. SAVE DETAILS Now you know who Julio Caravaca is. Let's talk about the career details, then. My main goal is to develop bolivian football, who's the weekest one in South America at international level. Talking about clubs, the strongest club is... The Strongest. Yes, there's a club in Bolivia called The Strongest. To complete this challenge, I'll need to win both Copa Libertadores and FIFA Club World Club, with three different clubs and turn the Bolivian First Division into the best league at South America. I've loaded all south american leagues plus Mexico, because mexican clubs play at Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana, in a total of 56000 players. That's it, I have three monts to prepare our squad to the Second Division, let's see what this pre-season will bring.

brenosantos
Playing in South America? I can't Bolivia. ba dum tss Just a curiosity, it's very difficult to play in Bolivia because of the elevation in most cities, Cochabamba has an elevation of 2,558 m, for example. I'll need a defibrillator.
brenosantos
Club Aurora - 2015/16 Pre-season Update SQUAD AND TRANSFERS When I analyzed our squad, I found a team who is very well suited to the second division, but we were needing some players and our budget isn't that good, so I brought three youngsters to the first squad: (YP0a) Brayan Aranibar, (YP0b) Fernando Aguilar and (YP0c) Erick Vargas. Nevertheless, we still needed centre backs, since there was no centre back in the squad. So we went shopping and brought no less than three players for the position: Ricardo Bejarano, Gary Arauz and Humberto Viviani. Several teams in the First Division tried to buy our young prospects, but the amounts offered were too low, so we could keep them at the club. We also brought some staff. Now, that's our current squad. PRE-SEASON We started our pre-season against Universitario de Sucre, Bolívar, The Strongest and San José, all of them in First Division. With our 4-4-2 Diamond Narrow we did really well, exception made against Bolívar, when our defense gave two goals for them. After that, we've played against Second Division/Lower Division clubs and we had a lot of tranquility to win all matches. COPA SUDAMERICANA I didn't knew it, but Aurora had qualified for the Copa Sudamericana (don't ask me how). Unfortunately, we were really unlucky in the draw, being drawn against the good team of Santiago Wanderers from Chile. Of course we do n't come even close to winning, but it was a great experience and it helped our finances. We didn't played in the Bolivian Cup, so our most important competition is about to begin, the Bolivian Second Division. There are thirteen clubs, split into three groups. We were drawn against Arauco Prado, E.M Huahuni and Unión Maestranza and we need to be at least in the second place if we want to still fighting for promotion. brenosantos
Club Aurora - 2015/16 December Update BOLIVIAN SECOND DIVISION FIRST STAGE Six easy games. Nothing more to say, as we qualified to the next stage with two games to go. The toughest opponent was Unión Maestranza, but they also didn't played well enough to beat us. Six wins, twenty three goals scored and a goal difference of twenty. That's great. Now we are in the Promotion Stage: we'll face another group with four teams and the top two of each group will progress to the semifinal. Our rivals are Unión Maestranza (again), Mariscal Sucre and Guabirá, one of the strongest sides in the division. Both games against Guabirá will be tough, but I'm expecting some wins against Unión Maestranza and Mariscal Sucre.
brenosantos
Club Aurora - 2015/16 April Update BOLIVIAN SECOND DIVISION PROMOTION STAGE - GROUPS Another good sequence. We started our run against Guabirá in a great form and our team really struggled to score. After that, some good games against Unión Maestranza and Mariscal Sucre. In our revenge against Guabirá, they have scored first, but we had the necessary fighting spirit to score and win the match. Guabirá simply crushed their opponents and deserved to be in the first place, but our run was also very good and we qualified to the semifinals with merits. In the semifinals, we'll face surprising Universitario de Tarija, who led Group B with 11 points. They aren't a good side and I expect nothing more than a good win in both legs. In the other semifinal, Guabirá will face Fancesa. OTHER NEWS YOUTH INTAKE - Ouch. That's not good. But at least, (YP1a) Antonio Huarana convinced me somehow. In addition, we have good news, since Julio Caravaca contract was renewed for another year.
brenosantos
I simply forgot to post about transfers. Due to financial problems, we had to sell our starting central midfielder Caleb Cardozo to Nacional Potosí for 80k. Some players were unhappy about it, so I needed to buy a replacement, and Edson Hinojosa signed with the club on a free transfer.
brenosantos
BOLIVIAN SECOND DIVISION PROMOTION STAGE - SEMIFINALS That's great! Fernando Adrián is a beast and scored four of the six goals. Our team crushed Universitario de Tarija in the first match, with a dominating performance. I've decided to rest some players in the second leg, then the result reflects this choice. Nevertheless, we qualified for the final with ease and will face Guabirá again in the decision. If we win, we'll be champions and, consequently, promoted to the Bolivian First Division. If we lose, we'll play against the 11th placed team in the First Division.

noikeee
I've seen plenty of strange league formats, but this has to be up there at the top. Two 6-match group stages then knockouts? Eh? You're absolutely flying though! Great results!
