maerck Posted April 16, 2016 Share Posted April 16, 2016 I've been thinking for sometime wouldn't it be great to have the new engines etc but based in the 60s, 70s, 80s? How would you deal with a rampant Spurs of the 60s, dominant Leeds of the 70s or Unstoppable Liverpool of the 80s (winning a title by xmas!). Back to days where a foreign player was Irish! The chance to do a Clough and take a provincial Derby to a league title or even Nottingham Forest to Champions league glory! The chance to manage Best, Law, Moore, Greaves, Peters, Lorimer, Bremner, Hansen, Keegan, Dalgleish. There's 3 games in themselves with the current program. But back to the modern age. If you're going to have a "winter transfer update" then don't start the season from the beginning. Make it from the end of the transfer window. So when Charlton buy Ronaldo, Messi & Luiz (it may happen one day!) then let them play from February. Other than that Chairman personalities - It's not my job to decide if club should have football director. Let the chairman decide what you do. If he wants to sell your best player that's up to them. Just a thought The request for classic databases crops up on here at least once a month and it's shot down every time because it's simply not worth the time it would take to implement. The demand for it is tiny, it is something that would only be played by a tiny number of players and wouldn't result in people buying the game who otherwise wouldn't, and so given the amount of man hours it would take to produce the database along with the required changes to the underlying game to make it work correctly it simply isn't worth the cost.
