U21 player mad because champions league ommission

Hey guys!

I was just wondering if this has ever happened to you, and if so, if there's anything to do about it. I have to register players for champions league, which is enough of a hassle, but then some under 21 player gets angry I didn't include him... and then wants to leave the club (he got here literally a week ago). This seems odd to me, and hasn't really happened to me until this season, and I was just wondering if there's any solution to this or if I just have to deal with it?

The U21 exemption only applies to players who have been at your club for a minimum of 2 seasons, he is rightly unhappy as you've not registered him on the A list & he will not be included on the automatic B list.

To my (probably deluded) way of thinking, unless I've signed him as a first team or key player, he has to EARN his spot on the champions league roster. What am I supposed to do, leave a treasured veteran at home while letting some snot-nosed brat take his spot?

If you sign player to a senior squad status then he would rightly expect to be in part of the senior squad.

If you've signed him with Backup contract status then I can understand it being a bit frustrating him complaining about being left out.

However if he's on Rotation then it's only right that he'd be annoyed. After all, how exactly is he going to be rotated into the first team if he's not even registered to play!
