pahlovi
what's the effect of close down much more actually? how does this work? is it like FIFA's double pressing? first I thought it's counter pressing. but it's actually not. so confused with this TI. Guest
It does what it says in the tool tip when you hover over the instruction, your team /player will relentlessly close down the player in possession. This is done in an attempt to harass them into making a mistake due to not having any time on the ball, a close approximation to counter pressing is achieved through much more closing down & a formation that increases the number of players who position themselves in the attacking third of the pitch. But in a very fluid shape, close down more TI works much better than much more TI. How would u explain that?
onetopic
Barside, What are you attempting to do with being sarcastic by saying "it does what is says in the tool tip". You dont think he have read this "tip"? It is clearly he is not happy with the in game explanation and you manage to give him this answer.

He answered the question while also telling the OP that there are tooltips and how to access that info.

When someone asks for other peoples opinions, then thats his question. Els he would not have posted this i assume.

Anyway then i really hope the OP found help in your answer. I wish i had seen a judge lead a court against him/here self saying "cant see i have done anything wrong, case closed". xD If only the world had less... well anyway i gotta run. Guest
Still can't see where I've been sarcastic. I provided a clear answer stating where the OP can get information on how FM interprets closing down & a pointer about the need to link closing down with formation to achieve a counter pressing style. I also can't assume that the OP had read the tool-tip, years on the forum & working at SI has shown that unfortunately many people do not use the in-game help features.
