Bunkerossian
I've made probably about a dozen threads as I struggle to create something that truly works, in terms of a tactic. And whatever I read on the topic of tactics, mostly states that the chosen tactic must fit the players you have. There's a multitude of data about players I check, but I never seem to be able to understand what the players in my team are best suited to. Thus, very embarrassing results happen in a league I should be dominating. Does anyone have a link to a good guide on analyzing a team's strenths and weaknesses? bowieinspace
I'm not sure if there's been a specific guide on this, but my method depends on the type of save I'm looking to do: 1) A save where I'm not going to be able to buy many/any players (e.g. a youth development save, taking over a club outside of a transfer window or similar) - In this situation I will try to play to the squads strengths and will go through the following process: First up I'll analysis the squads strengths/weaknesses compared to the rest of the league. If they're technically good I'll look to make the most of that, equally if they're fast and physical but not technically good, I'll look to focus on making the most of balls over the top, running at the defense and so on. After that, I'll take a look at the best players in the side and what their most suited roles are - if I can play the desired style and have them in their most effective roles I will look to do it, or I'll at least look to get those players in roles that I feel are going to be key roles within the tactic to make sure my top players are running the show. 2) A save where I have the flexibility and funds to rebuild the squad. - In this situation I will look to implement my style. I will look to buy/sell to fit the squad to my needs and I will set up my preferred tactic from the get go. If I don't quite have the players just yet I might adjust a few small things in the tactic, but really I am looking to put my way of doing things into place and will look to see how the players perform within it. FineRedMist
And in a save where, shall we say, the strengths of one's side are not apparent? ;-) http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/457766-Struggling-with-newly-promoted-Derby-Co-in-FM15?p=10828524&viewfull=1#post10828524

Yet, I seem to struggle to impose actual domination in the league.
