German registration question

Recommended Posts

I have started a save with a Bundesliga team. I have been asked to submit a list of players for the season, but it is still deep into the transfer window. Will I be given a chance to add new singnings to the registered players?

You'll get a final chance to submit the registrar's list of players again once the transfer window shuts. It will highlight red and won't let you continue game unless you submit! Who you playing as? German league saves are really fun, Bundesliga very competitive below Bayern!

Augsburg. Seems a balanced roster, much more so than Celtic.

Also, is there any specific reason why a player would be Unavailable for friendlies? I thought one would have to register him in the roster, but he still has the Una icon. It gives no explanation. It's an Augsburg player, Bobadilla. No specific explanation is given.

The only thing I can think of is his club manager removed him from selection. Simply, he doesn't want him to play the friendly. Which club managers have the right to do.

The Bundesliga is the best kept secret in the game. Many players, I think, avoid it because of it's unreal atmosphere due to the licensing issue. I certainly did, but having availed my self of the necessary 'amendations' via an FM related website, (if I'm allowed to say that here!!!), I started as unemployed and at the end of the first season Hertha barely avoided relegation and sacked the manager, I got the job. What a relaxed league it is. One cup competion only and only 34 league games.

Hertha play in the Olympic Stadium with a capacity of over 70000, so room for growth there.

If you have a good cup run there is two or three weeks in the season where you may play, weekend, weekday, weekend, but for the rest of the season it's one game a week, with a winter break.

All this means that you do not need a big squad to start with, and with the right signings you've every chance of European qualification. In my first season, (2016/17), Bayern and Dortmund were not so dominate over the season, Bayern in particular seemed to be on the slide. Leverkusen were the real force and won the league, Dortmund scraped fourth and Bayern a poor fifth. The mighty Hertha were third and into the Champions League.

The only downside is with so few games, even with a small squad, whinging players are a weekly event. I can only hope with my, now bigger squad, and CL football, most will play more and stop moaning. At least until Christmas. I better hope I get through the group stages or January to May will be a real challenge to keep the squad happy.

Oops, should have mentioned Schalke, who came second beating my by a point. I beat every team in the league at least once, except them. For some reason I couldn't fathom, they smashed me in the away game, and I lost narrowly at home. They appear to play a basic 4-4-2 against my 4-2-3-1 which has always served me well, but I simply couldn't cope with them. They had more of everything, possession, shots etc. Even when I lose or draw, I tend to have the better stats, as I play a short passing game, going direct when I need too, but nothing worked against Schalke.
