I'm quite looking forward to this one. Turkey didn't look great in qualifying as they finished behind both the Czech Republic and Iceland, although they did qualify automatically as they were the best 3rd place finisher, whilst Croatia did alright finishing 2nd behind Italy. Hoping for quite an open and interesting game. Their group is wide open for me - you'd fancy Spain to get through of course, but they did flop at the World Cup and you'd fancy any of Turkey, Czech Republic and Croatia to be able to get through and win games against themselves.

Idk who I dislike more.

Terim and those disgustingly lucky Turks, or our team that's everything except for the national team these days.

More like private money laundering company controlled by a dozen criminals.

Hmm.

As for the pitch side, Čačić is Croatian Hodgson, with next to no big game experience and you shouldn't expect much from Croatia.

If Bilić was still managing and the situation was normal, this team would've had good chances to win it even, but like this, getting one of first two places is a monumental task.

Bilic is great. Best stick around for this tournament

I agree. Especially in this match he's been able to give great insights to the teams. It certainly beats the usual rubbish with the absolute tools they or the BBC hire who either don't know or can't be bothered to learn about other sides.

Football should introduce blood subs for stuff like that. Like rugby. Croatia penalised, albeit temporarily, through no fault of their own

Indeed, unfortunately coming together & they're penalised. Still not sure why they got a free kick from it though as it's a big stretch to call having your elbows out dangerous play when the other players jumps into your elbow.

Basically, it's a less dangerous version of the 'Fellaini jump'.

He was in the air & well above Corluka before he started his jump

Townsend being harsh on the keeper there, not sure he stood a chance of getting down before the ball has already gone by him.
