So if u play with left and right midfielders, when the opponent has the ball they will try to stop theirs right/left midfielders and attacking midfielders, but if u play with right/left attacking midfielders they will only trying to stop the opponents full backs ? summatsupeer Posted July 7, 2016 Share Posted July 7, 2016 All you've told them to do is to position deeper without the ball (assuming all other instructions are the same). Who they close down / engage is more complicated but being deeper it is more likely they can help the fullback rather than staying more advance and tracking back if the opponent full back goes forward.
