dking
I'm looking at a cb with 6 aggression but the rest of his stats are amazing. He has 20 composure, 18 pos, 18 tackling, 19 jumping, 15 bravery and 17 det which got me wondering how that extremely low aggression stat could effect his performance? FrazT
With the rest of his attributes at the level reported, i would not worry about a low aggression attribute- he will be technically good and not get booked.
dking
How does aggression affect a player exactly? Thanks for the response.
herne79
Aggression plays a part in a players' tenacity and how willing he is to get involved in competing with opposition players when challenging for the ball. A more aggressive player will be more likely to press harder and physically compete for the ball. It won't make him a dirty player (that's a different attribute) but he may give away more fouls due to his competitive nature.
WizbaII
The way I understand aggression is that it dictates whether a player waits for the player with the ball to come to him or whether he goes to the player with the ball. Therefore, I think aggression is an attribute you need to be more attention to when it comes to wide players and central midfielders. I imagine the way this works with central defenders is, a defender with low aggression will put himself between the other player and the goal and force the other player to dribble. With high aggression, the defender will not wait for the dribbler to try to dribble. They will just put their foot in there for better or worse. Therefore, a technically good defender can have low aggression whereas an athletic defender (excluding jumping) should have high aggression to take advantage of the physical attributes.
