Promises

Possibly this should be considered a design bug, but I'm putting it here. I do like the promise feature, but it is very frustrating and unrealistic at times. I have a player who is on 1k a week and has been doing OK, so I agreed to his request for a new contract. The trouble was that his agent then asked for 8k per week which I wasn't willing to pay. He then became upset and made the team unhappy. Surely there should be some way to sit a player down and explain that while you're willing to fulfil the promise that his agent or his own intransigence makes that impossible. Similarly, if you promise to give a player a few games, if they're terrible for the first couple then there's no way to drop them without breaking the promise. The manager should be able to take the player aside and tell them "if you're that bad next game I'm going to have to drop you" or something similar.

I (really my DoF) sold one of my main strikers (got €50m for him, so t'was quite a good deal), and then another key player came with a complaint about weakening the squad. I talked to him, and promised that I'd invest the money in a better replacement. "Unfortunately", the player I bought for playing as an ST was Antoine Griezmann, and he's primarily a LW, not a ST, which means the promise technically isn't fulfilled.. If he comes back to complain about this (which he shouldn't, since I really have replaced the outgoing player with a better option, just he's naturally a winger instead of the position in which of he's being used), I should have the option of telling him exactly that.
