Help with tactics

I've been playing football manager for a little while now on and off, and like many i struggle. 

I wanted to run my tactic by a few of you seasoned professionals and see what you thought and how i can improve/change things to make the tactic work.

I would apprectiate an explanation of the change you think i should make too.

Basically this is my idea.

An older experienced midfielder as an enganche as the cog in this machine, with great passing off ball, vision and techinque spraying out passes in every direction. his passing options are as follows:

2 pacey inside forwards on attack offering passing options a bit wide of the enganche.

 a single fast advanced forward just in front of my enganche.

a ball winning midfielder on support duty offering a passing option behind but also tracking back.

A deep lying playmaker on defend duty, with short passing instruction so he will hopefully pass to my enganche or BWM.

2 full backs on support offering another form of attack (enganche or striker would preferably be aerially strong to add another level to attack.

centre backs and goalie on defend staying back at all times.

I feel that the DLP and fullbacks should be particulary strong defensively to protect my fragile backline.

What do you think guys? Obviously i will have to buy some players in for this tactic but it will be a work in progress kind of save.

It takes more than roles+duties to make a tactic work.

Your best off putting it together and giving it a go then reporting any issues you have.

I would say having all 4 advanced players on attack duty is very risky in a 4231 formation.  A BWM-S isn't really needed when you have 4 players in advance of him and leaves your midfield very open.
