Ronaldo Beckham
I used to love coming on the good players part of the forums but ever since you have changed the layout of the forums there is barely any new posts in the many threads on here, any idea why this is ? Lord Rowell
I think its more to do with the fact that FM17 is near to release so fewer posts on FM16 as a result.

Gungner
Definately has to do with FM'17 being a few months away... On the danish forum I'm also on, there is virtually no activity, besides the non-FM related topics.

tmason122
Though I do think that this forum is quieter than a few years ago. I remember that there used to be a significant number of player threads and people sharing hidden gems, I feel this is less common now. This is of course based on my personal opinion, and not actually based on bothering to go through counting the number of these threads. Just a feeling. Gungner
Well, if FM players are getting older, thus not playing as much anymore, and the younger ones that are just starting out does not know about these sites, then the downfall seems inevitable. eastley
As said above, most who play this game are of older generations, and life has progressed where playing the game is an after thought. The young generations these days will never play this sort of game.

I think the younger generation perhaps get their FM information from elsewhere. Perhaps less online forums and more youtube videos and the like.... Jesus, I'm only mid-20s and I'm talking about the "younger generation" haha
ssestig
The combination of the new game coming out in a few months and the rise of commenting on social media instead of coming here for me.
Kamakazeee
Could be worth just having one thread to discuss games due to the lack of discussion. Just til fm17
vasilli07
I think it will be good to have a single thread for the top 5 leagues for FM17. England, Spain, France, Italy and Germany. It will probably encourage people to post their progress when they manage the not so popular teams.
moyesout
also a lot of people posting their stories on YouTube and various social media sources which wasnt as popular a few yrs ago.. be great for FM17 to get the section here as active as possible
tmason122
Yer, it would be great to get things more active on here! I still like the detailed player threads that used to be presented on here, I haven't seen a youtube video (though haven't bee looking for them either) that gave the same level of detail as these old threads. MattLDempsey
I run a website called FMArchived I plan to post parts of our player/staff reviews on this forum as individual threads like the usual. So you will see a lot more profiled players on here.

macca72
I find it quite sad, seems much quieter this time round. The Leeds thread died an early death this year, which is such a shame given there's a lot of good posters with really interesting careers.
Mihalis
I agree but i think it has other reasons behind it aswell. Which i cannot say but i miss the good old days of posts every day. Used to skim them every day now its a shame because i rarely see anything new anymore

I actually just fired up my Leeds save a week or so ago and it's been a ton of fun. I am hoping to get a post in there sometime this weekend. I too miss the days of threads being so active. I love taking on the Chelsea thread, but after it died this year I probably won't be doing it again for FM 17. I hope it wasn't me who killed it! SpillBlood
Break between FM16 and FM17 for me. It'll pick up soon.
DandyDon
I used to post pretty regularly on this forum for a few years (after being a long time lurker), even organised a team thread one year. In the last year or so however I've been a lot less active. This has mostly because I've been playing a lot less FM this time round, so had a lot less to contribute really, not because I wasn't enjoying the game or anything but because I was busier with work and also my gaming habits have changed a bit. Been running regular RPG sessions online for several mates which takes up a lot of times and been playing a lot more variety of games on Steam and the like. Funnily enough though a couple of other community forums I'm part of had noticed a definite decline in activity as well, seems a lot of folks just preferred reddit and other forms of social media. Ventricity
It would be interesting to know if the sales have gone down lately. I've just finished one season on fm17, and I'm already not that interested in playing any more. It's just the same game as before, I've already played the others to death.
