robbo1948
Hi All, I'm considering buying FM17 having last played 15. I seem to have less and less time to play FM as I get older with family and work commitments. One thing I'd like to do is play against my old friend; he's a big Liverpool fan whilst I support Everton. It would be nice to build a squad and beat him to the premiership title and I've been thinking about the best way to play him as we work differing hours and will therefore be playing the game at different times of the day. Does anyone have any suggestions (am I posting in the right forum for one?!)..... I know about using Hamachi and playing an online game, but don't both users need to be online at the same time? Would it be feasible or even possible to complete all my tactical and transfer business, save the game and send him the save file so he can complete his background work, before opening up Hamachi and playing at the same time? I honestly have no idea - any suggestions greatly appreciated.
gunner86
In essence, both users will need to be on at the same time. There's no way, that I'm aware of at least, of playing the game in a turn based manner - mostly cos that would take forever! Also, using Hamachi seems like an unnecessary step seeing as all network games now are run through Steam
