fmfan74
Hi all, Not sure if anyone can answer this but if i had an attacking midfielder with the "shoot more" and "more risky passes" selected. Which of the 2 takes precedence over the other or is it random ? Reason I am asking is because if the player is in a great goal scoring opportunity last thing i want to see him do is pass it away. all feedback welcomed
HUNT3R
It'll depend on the situation and the player's attributes, such as Teamwork and Decisions.
fmfan74
When you say the players attributes if both were at 15 what order attributes are worked on first ? Reason i'm saying this is cause I've seen some of my players have goal scoring opportunities and instead of banging it in they back pass to a player. So it seems as though i must be doing something wrong in the setup or player instructions. It shouldn't be as that complicated. When you say to a player i don't want you to back pass in that situation it should be the same in game and not a guessing game. Your darn right about decisions, it's one attribute i'm really looking at building up my team. I want a high level of IQ in all my players.

Again - it depends on the situation in-game. Those aren't the only 2 attributes he has. Your instructions may also influence this. Or his PPMs. You can't just look at something in complete isolation. HUNT3R
If you're struggling to read what's going on, post everything. The tactic and instructions, the player's attributes, PPMs and the situation itself.
fmfan74
Just one more question please. What attribute is primary if a player is indecisive ? is it the "Decisions" attribute being low or are there other attributes for a player being indecisive as well. This is in reference to a player not shooting for goal when he has a great chance to score but instead does a back pass.

There are many things that can affect it and I've already said this and posted some of the possible causes. It could be Decisions. It could be Teamwork. It could be your instructions telling him to go for the safer option. It could be a PPM. It could be an off day for him where he makes poorer decisions that usual. It could be all or a combination of those.
summatsupeer
He might lack composure so panics, making him rush or leave it too late. Decisions is really the final step before doing it, you need to look at his instructions and mental attributes to decide the reason. Is it because he didn't have any options or options that match what you've told him to do, or did he just not see the option, or was it just bad execution. How many times do you see in real life a player who is left footed try and wait or move the ball from there right to the left and then the opportunity is gone because of that footedness or lack of technique etc.
fmfan74
true true, I just had another similar issue where one of my players was on his own having a great scoring chance and instead of powering it home for a goal he just taps it to the keeper. It's things like this that make you grumpy. Yes it does happen in real life.
