Waiting for fm 2017? What are you doing?

Recommended Posts

I am really bad at keeping saved games which I hope will change with the new fm 2017!

So for the last week I have been climbing the walls finding something to do so I downloaded Bluestacks on my laptop and started playing with some android games on it and I found Football Chairman Pro which although is very simple it might keep my attention for the next 4-5 weeks :)

Come on Footbal Manager 2017!

It does not anymore excite me to play FM16 during this time of the year, as the time getting closer to release. So waiting Beta to start my new career. Hopefully SI release Beta as soon as it is ready which would be nice to report any possible bugs to be fixed till the full release.

My last two FM16 saves - both in the past month - have both gone further than any other FM16 save I've had. Which is only two years each, which is a bit sad unto itself. But I've been playing quite a bit and in some ways, I'm loathe to switch over.

playing fm16 until 17 comes out, then playing fm17 until 18 comes out... and so on

My last reply was at this post, I hope to have a really good game at playing fm in Oct-Nov time onwards that I have a saved game over and above 26 seasons so I can carry on with some excitement like this guy has!

Still steadily continuing with a 16 save I started a few months ago, currently in 2032.

Usually stick with the previous version until around Xmas when the 2nd patch comes out.

would like to be as patient as you are - always lost the excitement of the current one when the new screens/features are announced.

Yeah sometimes I get that.

Its not too bad if you are into your save but if you come to a natural end with your current team you don't really feel like taking over another when the new version is sitting there.  Kinda depends how many teething problems the new one has as well, if it has a few it makes it easier to stick with the older one a bit longer.

Playing some other mmo game and eagerly waiting for FM 17.. I have stopped playing FM16 around 3/2 months ago when I formatted my disk and never bothered to install and play it again because of

1. Overpowered crosses and high fullback ratings

2. Happening way too often that, you dominate the games, but still lose to a side having like 2 shot on target.

What do you class as too often?

To put it into perspective when Barcelona were having their golden period a few years ago they still dropped points in around 25% of matches so 1 in 4.

I'm starting season three in my latest save of FM16 after winning the title, League Cup and Champions League in season two.  However I keep going back to where I saved it at the end of season two because I buy a couple of players and suddenly three games in just feel those aren't the sort of players West Ham would buy so I as I say go back to right at the end of season two and start again. I bought Danny Drinkwater and it just didn't feel right.  I regularly feel that way when I buy Premier League players from other Clubs. Don't know why, maybe I am just a bit odd!!

Playing FM15, attempting to lose weight, might grab NBA 2K17.

Pity I bought FM16 and gave up after 2 hours. Those crosses just ruin the game for me. Waste of money. VERY VERY disappointing. And for a fan who has purchased every boxed copy since CM4 days until FM16, I must say I am bitterly upset at the absolutely shocking ME in FM16. Gamebreaker for sure.

Anway upwards and onwards from here

Haven't been able to get motivated for FM16 for months - it's honestly the worse match engine in years due to the imbalance caused by the very severe fallback issues, and I'm more than cheesed off that SI didn't continue to work on it until it was fixed. Really looking forward to FM17 in the hope it's better, but if it turns out the same way and SI show no interest in fixing it I think I'll be done with the series after so long :(

After trying plug n play tactics for the last 3-4 years I'm going to try to create one myself for FM17 so I'm now reading and watching anything I can get my hands on that will help - guides, great threads and videos.

Rashidi/BustTheNet is proving essential viewing :)

  • 2 weeks later...

Playing FIFA, PES and Madden, doing my thesis :ackter:

Actually preordered Franchise Hockey Manager as well even though I only know a basic amount of hockey...

I get excited in September/October but they are expensive months for games for me and I buy pretty much none at any other time of the year cause I only really play sport games and they all come at once

haha... same here.

I install FM 2017 count-down app. So ridiculous.

You run Blustacks on your pc? Do it run sluggish?

i think nox emulator is a better choice for game playing.

I did yes it ran fine on my laptop, but since my OP I have uninstalled it and got back into Poker

I'm playing FM16 untill FM17 is released, and maybe some weeks longer as I like to play with lower league edits (and not smart enough to make those myself).

I'm currently in my 29th journeyman-season and after many years at the absolute bottom, some promotions, sackings and resignations, just now won my first real silverware, the Finnish Cup. Aged 70 and 9 clubs into his mainly amateur/semi-pro career, my alter-ego-manager finally heads for European domination ;-).

Seems like a worthy end of an FM-version. I wonder If I can make it past the preliminary rounds of the EL.

Kinda know the feeling with my current save.

VW Hamme (Belgium) - Nothing

Perlis (Malaysia) - Promoted in 2nd place to the Super League

CSM Rm Valcea (Romania) - Nothing

Lunds BK (Sweden) - Second Division South Gotaland Champions

Magallanes (Chile) - Promoted to the First Division

Algeria - Nothing

Chicago (USA) - 2*Supporters Shield winners & North American Champions League winners (In the mix for a third league title in a row).

Here in Cambodia, I tend not to get access to the game until weeks after everyone else. What I've done is take a 23-level file and go mental with it.

Level 1 - Premier League - I've turned it into a European league with the likes of Real, Barce, Bayern etc joining your Chelseas, Arsenals and ManYoos with transfers fully up to date.  Same down the pyramid with Dortmund and Celtic in L2, Aberdeen, Hearts, Rangers, St Pauli in L3, Irish and Welsh clubs further down the pyramid and loads of wee Scottish amateur clubs (real and fictitious) filling out the lowest levels. I start with my rep 1 penniless, playerless club in L23 and see how far I get before I get to download FM17.
