Machine specs for FM2017

Recommended Posts

i have a mac thats 6 years old and i have issues with FM2015 and FM2016 crashing at random points. Nothing i do seems to work in terms of changing graphic settings etc. My machine specs are below so could a moderator or someone with a bit more tech savvy tell me if FM2017 will struggle on my machine, if so i probably wont buy it as i dont want the same problems happening!

OS El Capitan version 10.11.6 . Ram 8GB, Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.  Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB

Cheers

You meet the minimum specs, but are very very underpowered, I wouldn't expect you to play it that well..

It's almost impossible to say based on specs alone as it it's all about system resources and the state of your specific machine.

Try the free demo that comes out and see first maybe.

These are almost my exact specs on my six year old MacBook. 3D on low detail is occasionally jerky but fine, 2d is perfect. Processing is ok with 10 leagues from 3 countries and a database of18k. I have the occasional crash but no more or less than any software on any other computer. I think its one every 150-200 hours or so.

I only run iTunes or Sonos and Firefox when FM is on.

Thanks man. I haven't got the new FM yet just waiting on feedback from other Mac users before I decide whether to or not. I don't want another year of frustrating crashes!
