ElliottS91
FM'ers, Does anyone know how to re-load saved games after you've had to re-install the game? My mac had to be down grounded from Sierra to El Capitan so I had to factory restore my mac and subsequently re-install FM2017. I had an online game which I hosted with my friends and I can't find it anywhere. Any assistance would be appreciated! Thanks!
forameuss
By factory restore, you mean completely wiping the disk? Then you're stuffed. The save games will likely be deleted unless you buy some file recovery software.
ElliottS91
Yeah I had to wipe the disk completely to install El Capitan. I backed up all my files though on a hard drive and have put them all on the new disk, I didn't know whether once i'd re-installed FM that it would be able to find the games through the back ups. forameuss
Oh right, I missed that part. If you have the files on another hard drive then just drop them into the newly created games folder wherever you've reinstalled it. Nothing else needed I don't think. Urg
On a mac your savegames should be in this directory by default. /Users/[Your Mac Username]/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2016/games If restoring the backup files already put them there you're fine, if not manually copy them there from your backup.
