fmfan74
Hi to all, Does anyone know how SI valuate a players price ? I recently picked up a player for 200k and he was loaned out first season and his price didn't go up that much. Second season his now playing in the senior team and has scored 8 goals so far and we have not hit half way point through the season. I"m playing in the Greek league. Surely a player who scores 10 goals is very worthy and the price 250k is kinda cheap. Does SI increase/decrease player prices per game stats or does it wait at the end of the season and makes the final calculations then which in tern change to the correct figure for the new season ? cheers fmfan74
HUNT3R
Do you mean Value? That's a combination of player, league and club rep, contract length and value, age and probably more factors. It's not what the player's asking price is.
fmfan74
Yep player value. Where i'm trying to get to is say for e.g. my player is worth 200k and the next few weeks in the greek league he scores more than 10 goals shouldn't his player value go up as well. I can understand if there is a difference playing in a non popular league. 50k is very low if your asking me. The player was bought for 200k has scored over 10 goals and only went up 50k. So it's the value that is increased by his stats. How does SI do it ? per match or per season ? Just curious thats all, reason i'm asking is cause i find the price very low and the player is 22 years of age and scoring more than 10 goals should be a dramatic increase in his value this is not taking the club or the players financial demands added. I'm just being direct with the stats the player gets how it affects his value.

How does his value compare to others of the same ability, squad status, contract etc in the league?
fmfan74
Ok so far in the Greek league the top 4 goalscorers have 8 to 9 goals and they are strikers over 1 mill. There is a player who is valued at 120k and he is fifth i think from memory. Will use england as an e.g. if you get a player at 30 mill like Anthony martial being very young as well and scoring 10 goals so far wouldn't his value go up ? I'm looking at the ratio or % that increases the players value based on goals in the current season. The selling price is always arguable but the real value of the player scoring goals surely has a round off. I'm not sure if i have to wait till the end of the season going into the new season to get a price increase based on this seasons performance. I do see the player value go up slightly but it ain't much. Another e.g. is kante from Leicester city who is now at Chelsea. His performance last season was sensational and yes the price hit the roof. Because of his performance during last aseason he was also a big target for clubs to buy. You see his value went sky high as well during the season. As for pogba it's kinda the reverse for now, So i'm focusing more towards stats affecting the value instead of clubs interest in the player. HUNT3R
Unless his own reputation changed a lot, you haven't mentioned anything that would warrant a huge increase in Value.
fmfan74
Given his young age of 23 and has scored 8 goals in 19 games all competitions don't you think thats more than 50k given there is half a season + remaining. I"m coming from a stats point of view, surely if an unknown striker rocks up in the premier league and bangs above the avg amount of goals as a striker his value goes up right ? E.g. Vardy. I want to know if thats the case with my striker at the age of 23 in the greek league and if not why not and if not then what do i have to look at to push his value higher apart from asking more from other teams. Like i said before there is a realistic figure and a demanding figure. I"m talking about stats. So if a young striker comes in and plays his first season in the Greek 1st division and scores above the avg his price wont rise ?

You're comparing your own striker to a player who was top scorer in the league, for a club 1000/1 to win that league and won it and a league that's competing at the top in terms of reputation and money? Of course his and his club's reputation would have absolutely shot up in FM terms. That would have raised his Value. Your player has done well for half a season. fmfan74
ahhhhhhhhh i see now where your coming from. I understand. I get ya now. I'll check out the following season how he performs. I guess it's like you said many factors that play a role. cheers
Ellis_D
Also, you haven't said which club you are playing with? And with all due respect, players in Greece rarely attract huge fees. All the players you have compared him to play in the EPL, and IRL they attract far higher fees. Also, 8 goals in 19 games is nothing special at all. I would think that a player playing in Greece, with a goals record like that, whose value rose from £200k to £250k in that amount of time is perfectly reasonable. If you are not playing with one of the very top teams, or his goals ratio doesn't get much better, I don't think his value will go into the one or two millions that you seem to think it will.
