Which software do you use to record FM gameplay?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I'd like to learn which software you use to record FM gameplay. I have been using GeForce Experience but for FM17 I'm facing lags in the recorded videos despite that there are absolutely no lag in the gameplay. Since I am a big fan of recording and have a personal archive for the great goals scored in FM, I'd like to learn your experience about recording high quality gameplay videos with no lags. Are there any great softwares you can recommend?

Thanks in advance for your participation.

Cheers.

Personally, I've been using the Windows 10 Game Bar, purely cos it's there.

Does the job, without lag, even whilst playing Forza 6: Apex on ultra in 4k.

Used it to capture some tactical tweaking for a possible video, but like the fact that I can yank a screenshot whilst recording of anything I want in picture form.

Depends on our OS tho. That, and your CPU/GPU/RAM combo.

First of all, thanks mate for your reply.  My laptop's hardware is pretty good, I have no issues with the gameplay. Between my OS is Windows 10 Pro (64 bit). Maybe when the GeForce releases optimization for FM17, things may change (hope so). @LCpl

No worries. I've used the GeForce option also, ShadowPlay is it? Does the job, but is typically bulky, much like GeForce experience itself. I don't know who comes up with these optimisations for NVidia, because some of them are awful.

No, not yet @Sherdil, do you recommend it? Does it support GPU rendering?

@talhak I use OBS for recording Football Manager for my Youtube Channel. I've also Streamed a couple of times on Youtube with it as well.

OBS has for a long time used the CPU for rendering. The latest versions are capable of GPU rendering apparently, but I heard that it doesn't work very well at the moment so have not bothered testing it myself. All feedback I've seen says it's not worth it for GPU Rendering so I don't think OBS is for you right now. When they figure it out and work out the bugs though, it might be an option.

Hope this helps

Thanks mate, much appreciated. You know I want to record Full HD gameplay videos with 60 FPS as I use during gameplay. But when it comes to recorded videos, it is not as good as the live gameplay. There are some lags which affect the quality. @JNOUnited

This is by no means a plug but feel free to check out my channel to see the quality I'm getting. Just type in JNO United and I should be one of the top results. Got a Manchester United save with FM17. As far as I know, I've got the best quality I can with OBS. I'm not at home now so don't know what the settings are in the actual program. I've not looked in ages.
