adamt958
CARDIFF CITY FC - THE BLUEBIRDS As stated within my Copenhagen thread, I run two saves simultaneously usually, because I tend to get bored of one after A while & can swap between the two as I go along. I chose Cardiff because they are my side, I've been a season ticket holder for a 7 years now, plus, we are an interesting prospect. 1. CAPITAL CITY OF WALES 2. POTENTIAL FOR A MASSIVE FAN BASE (only local sides in wales are Swansea & Newport (& Merthyr, but they are well down the pyramid)) 3. DECENT SIZED STADIUM - 33,000 w/ Expansion options in place, hosted the European Super Cup between Real Madrid & Sevilla in 2014 4. BILLIONAIRE OWNER (completely nuts and has been tight on the purse strings since our relegation) A Deserted fan base, split by the rebrand with the club backtracking and trying desperately to cover over the cracks, but with attendances down can I finally be the one to bring the fans and sustained Premier League football back to Wales's capital city. well, lets begin this then. adamt958
Some transfer updates, With only 1.2m to spend originally, I decided that I would try and sell some players that don't fit in to my tactics to build funds to buy players for the now, & use the original 1.2m on youngsters for the future. I raided Real Madrid & Barcelona's 'B' teams and came out with these gems, I only think I paid more than 150k up front for one of them, most of them are 80k or 100k plus add ons up to about 250/500k. *note the £1.8m available here, raised from the 4.5m plus add ons sale of Anthony Pilkington to Sunderland
adamt958
5 competitive games into the season, joint top but Derby have a game in hand on me, we did get our first welsh derby of the season against Newport much earlier than anticipated , beating them 3-1 with one of my on loan players scoring for them. The Fulham game we lost 1-0 and were down to ten men since the 22nd minute, very frustrating.
adamt958
We won't keep this up, I keep telling myself, but we have won six on the bounce since being thumped 5-2 by Norwich City and are comfortably clear at the top of the championship. We do have our hardest run of games coming up as well though. Had A striker issue and ended up signing Libor Kozak on loan from Aston Villa, he has been a revelation and has scored 7 in 7 for me. Exciting times but still early days.
