ceefax the cat
If I play a 4-3-1-2 in the current ME, the 3 centre mids are frequently too close together, both with and without the ball. If I play 4-2-2-2, again, I find I have midfielders occupying each others' space all the time. I'd like the option to tell the three to space out more without affecting the overall width setting (though as it stands, the team width setting doesn't really address the problem anyway). The same goes for strikers / attacking midfielders. In a 3-4-3 formation I'm given a choice between AML - SC - AMR (too wide and deep) and SCL - SC - SCR (too narrow and advanced). It'd be good to be able to do something in between by having more control over their width. Generally a little more positional flexibility would be lovely. eriktous
Agree. Central midfielders always play like they're the only CM, unaware of what their team mates around them are doing. I regularly find myself craving for a midfield position somewhere inbetween MC and ML/MR.
ceefax the cat
Yeah, you find yourself oscillating between MR / ML with very narrow width and MLC / MRC set very wide, and nothing really fits. It's crap.
eriktous
I don't even think CMs pay any attention to the width setting, making the problem worse when you play wider, because it will just increase the distance from them to the wide players. ceefax the cat
Yeah that's definitely a problem. 343 so you need them nicely spaced or you get ripped apart, then you have your 2 MC's criss crossing each other and hanging about in a 5 yard square in the middle. It's been that way for years
HUNT3R
Best course of action would be to report poor movement with PKMs.
eriktous
It's just that it is so obvious when playing the game, that I just assume this is how SI wants midfielders to behave. I only started playing since FM15, but have never seen them do differently.
