Brianbloke
So, ever since I heard about Brexit hitting the game, I couldn't wait for it to occur in my save, and was preying for a hard brexit (i.e work permits etc..). It's eventually happened and I got an easy one it seems as it was announced that at the end of the season the UK will leave - however, no changes will occur. I literally saved the game just before the happened and have reloaded a few times in the hopes that it would change but no success so far. Does anyone know if this is based on pure randomness or it has been randomly chosen at the beginning of the save? Thanks,
Cougar2010
Miles said that reloading wouldn't alter the outcome as its decided earlier in the save. However I've also seen users report that its not set at the start of a save either. I've seen people take a save run it forward 10 years and get a different outcome so reading between the lines at some point between when you start & when the first message happens it fixes the outcome but not sure when. Ahh right, thanks for that. Quite disappointed with that since I can't make my game more difficult - Looks like I might have to start a new game then! Edit - after my tenth reload, the notification hasn't shown up yet!

Just on a side note I've been reading that there is sometimes? a bug in saves that were started on the Beta and got a soft Brexit where European players still require a WP. So if you started your save on the Beta you might want to carry on and see what happens.

rossi789
I've had Brexit come into play at the start of 22/23. As a result, all non-UK nationals require a work permit. I'm playing as Shrewsbury embarking on my 3rd season in the Premier League and it's proving a bit troublesome. I've always based my recruitment around signing young players with high potential, as I imagine most people do. I'm now in February 2023 and I've already lost 2 youth players I couldn't offer permenant deals to due to lack of a work permit. I also needed to strengthen my defence in the January window but I was unable to find anyone I could get a permit for that would improve the squad, apart from a young Irish CB at Nottingham Forest. They wanted £36m for him so I've done without. Not sure how I will approach recruitment now. My only thoughts are to scout the national teams as players need to be current internationals and nation must be ranked in top 50 in the world. On the plus side it will hit the big clubs a bit as well so they might bid more for your home grown players.
Sophomore
Did anyone had an United Ireland yet as a result of the Brexit? Miles said on twitter that this is possible, although there's a very small chance.
