advanced playmaker and high tempo

Recommended Posts

I have no empirical evidence, but I find my AP(a) role players have much lower pass completion rates when using a higher tempo. I do think there are advantages to the higher tempo, though, in that it can lead to your players finding passing/scoring/space opportunities before your opponents can react to them and close those windows of opportunity.

Does anybody think that if you play with higher tempo and use an advanced playmaker will make difficulties to find him in free space?

It entirely depends on your base mentality. 'Higher Tempo' just modifies your base tempo which is defined by mentality. If you are using a defensive or counter mentality then your base tempo is quite low, so 'Higher Tempo' will just move your playing speed  to roughly the middle of the bar. If you are on Control or Attack then it will be right at the top end of the bar and may be just too fast for play making.
