Decent rushing out, brave, good decision making, vision. Could he be a sweeper keeper in the making for Hakan? The other two are quite obviously gifted. 3 hours ago, Adonalsium said: He's the phantom third member of the Generation of Goalkeeping Miracles. Hrmm...for some reason I thought my scouts had rated his potential higher...my coaches don't seem to care for him, that's for sure: They don't seem to actively despise him...more like a slow-boiling "what the **** is the gaffer thinking" kind of thing. Bottom line, my thought process was -- Gantenbein is very solid, Klokidis isn't going to usurp him, and my other keepers are nowhere near good enough. So, I wanted a young keeper with bags of potential who can step in as my second-choice keeper in a year or so. As an ASPIRE kid, he was dirt cheap and...again, I could have sworn my scouts rated him higher (although I don't have a screenshot of that). This is the Russian lad I really want, who would be ungodly expensive...I need to work on him, to try and turn his head: 2 hours ago, Lordemort said: As a Panathinaikos fan I can't wait til you manage them! ManUtd1
I'm starting to think I will never be old enough to know better Eintracht Frankfurt December 2046 Mini-Update Thank **** for the winter break. I'm getting to old for this ****. Turning 60 last June truly made me reflect back on a life ... decisions made, the paths not taken, regrets. Those special moments. I'm coming up on 30 years of management, and one has to wonder what lies in store for me. How many years do I have left? What will be my legacy? Who will carry on when my ashes are scattered to the winds -- a little here, a little there, in the places that have mattered to me most. I should be grateful, few careers last this long. And soon enough I may have the opportunity to bring my boys into the fold...Linus is a truly gifted midfielder...destroying the U11 scene. Gustav, the more cerebral...he sees the game, understands it...but the kid couldn't be less coordinated. He could have a future on the bench with me, though. How many kids work as the Assistant Manager for their twin brother's U11 side, eh? Chip off the old block, he is. Bossy as ****, and not afraid to pull out the ol' hairdryer at half if little Jimmy is picking his nose at left back, instead of marking up like he was told. I jokingly nicknamed him "the Romanian dictator" given his slight stature, wild gesticulations with his arms, and penchant for finely-tailored suits at matches. Apples didn't find it funny. Frankfurt is coming together nicely. We've only lost once in competitive play this season -- a 2-0 reverse in Amsterdam, when I was tinkering with tactics, given my desire to move away from the current approach sometime in the not-too-distant future. As things stand, we're 9 points clear in the Bundesliga and through to the Champions League knockout rounds. Unfortunately, that loss in Amsterdam (and a draw in Naples) means that we went through second, and drew defending champions Lyon. That's a big ask, but we're up to the task. Frankly, we have to be . This squad is capable of winning it all, we just need a little bit of luck. Very interesting Champions League thus far. The knockout rounds could be good fun. Still no movement on the national team management front -- no openings at any of the potentially eligible nations, and those who were insecure have recovered. ManUtd1
It's only arrogance if you're wrong Eintracht Frankfurt March 2047 Mini-Update Lyon. My chief rival during the Saint-Etienne years, current champions of Europe...now dominating the French scene. We can't have that, can we? In the familiar confines of the Commerzbank for the first leg, we know we're up against it (bravado aside). Nevertheless, we take them on and press for an advantage. We earn a 1-0 win, leaving Lyon right where we want them in the 2nd leg -- having to chase the game, allowing us to sit back with In Catene and hit them in transition. And that's just what we do. They control the 2nd leg, but can't find their way through to goal. We hit them twice on the counter. That's the tie. We're through to the quarterfinals, to face . Domestically, we continue to run rampant even if our 2nd XI was embarrassed by Augsburg, of all sides, in the DFB-Pokal. It doesn't matter. Our focus is on the Bundesliga and Europe. Ludwig has taken to playing old Phil Collins records... sing it, brother... "I can feel it, coming in the air tonight..." West Brom, Genk and Leipzig, making a play for eligibility! Can't see Genk moving any further, but Roma and Leipzig could easily reach the semis. Edited May 2, 2017 by ManUtd1

ManUtd1
It's only arrogance if you're wrong Eintracht Frankfurt April 2047 - Champions League Quarterfinals High pressure and an early goal set the tone in the 1st leg. We dominate the full 90 and close the match out with ease, to take a 2 goal lead to L'enfer Vert in France. The Robert Herbin...it should be intimidating in theory, but the tie is going exactly according to plan. 18 minutes in, Stoilas buries a loose ball on a corner. 3-0 on aggregate, with an away goal. It's all over but for the fat lady singing. She begins a Sonic Death Penguin medley at halftime. We're in complete control. The only question is whether we'll hit them for a 4th. They were dead even before Friedeck hit one in the 65th. We're through to the semifinals, after putting on a football clinic for 360 minutes against the two best teams in France. The calypso is clear coming from the away fans -- football, taught by Hakan Telleus. Best. Champions. League. Ever. If Frankfurt can't win it this year, Hakan needs to take a long, hard look in the mirror. Edited May 2, 2017 by ManUtd1
ManUtd1
It's only arrogance if you're wrong Eintracht Frankfurt May 2047 - Champions League Semifinals If I'm being honest, this tie was over in the first 30 minutes. When Tsakiridis hit our 4th in the 47th minute, it was over. The fact that there were more than 130 minutes to play was irrelevant. Annihilation. Total annihilation. The 4-nil scoreline from the first leg flattered West Brom. Which is a shame, because I'd hoped to see them become eligible. Bad luck for them, I guess. They should've drawn Leipzig. The second leg was little more than a prolonged, guided tour of West Brom's gorgeous new stadium. I'd love to return some day, to manage them. We'll face the mighty Genk, who've done pretty well thanks to a tycoon who intervened but has since reduced his investment, twice. They could be good fun. But we've got 90 minutes to play. I've got 2 more Bundesliga matches to play. The final will be played tomorrow. Edited May 2, 2017 by ManUtd1

On paper. But after nearly 30 years in management, where I've made a career out of being underestimated, I should know better than to disrespect our Belgian opponents. We will play PM Libre from the start, and try to get an early lead. If we can do that, Genk will have no choice but to attack which is exactly what we want.
