[FM17] Benelux League 1.0

5-tier system, 13 leagues, 276 teams

Steam workshop link

The West-European countries Belgium, Luxemburg and the Netherlands joined together in a new country called the Benelux. The best teams are divided amongst a 5-tier league system based on their current league position. This leads to a stronger competition, more financial power and an incredible national team. The national football association imposed a 6+5 rule, meaning every club is mandatory to choose at least 6 Benelux players for the starting 11. How will this affect the Benelux chances of winning the next world cup?

Benelux League 1

In order to stimulate youth development some of the best B-teams are distributed amongst the tier 2-4 leagues. The remaining B-teams are competing with the smaller clubs to promote from the 5th tier leagues.

Benelux Youth Leagues
To stimulate youth development even further the national football association changed the youth league structure to increase competition in this area. 80 of the best “under 20” teams are competing in Benelux Youth League 1, 2, 3 and 4. A promotion/relegation play-offs ensures only the best teams make it to the higher youth leagues.
