Do you think, therefore, that Buffel has any role to play at all in the rest of the season- if he couldnt get a start last night then when?

He is not everybody's cup of tea, but when the team is crying out for some creativity then surely he must at least get a chance to try again? He could be an asset in Europe.

That depends if the rumours of us having to pay Feyenoord £350,000 if he plays one more game are true icon_wink.gif

If not then I can see a role for Buffel in our current side with us playing with Hemdani and Ferguson in midfield with Buffel floating further forward.

Roy Carroll has joined Derby on loan. Probably means we'll be bringing a keeper in on loan as cover as well. Possibly Ward from Sunderland if reports are true.

Also was reading there might be a snag with the Cousin deal as he's played for both Lens (for 20 mins or so ffs) and Rangers this season and would need special permission to play for another club before next season.

you talk mince!

of the last 6 games hes played the full 90 minutes in 4 of them, 1 he was injured and the other he was on the bench after injury when Walter stuck with the same team that outclassed Hibs

He's played in a couple of recent games because McCulloch has been suspended / injured. He probably played yesterday in midfield rather than wide to get some match practice there.

Anyway, seems the FIFA ruling thing is holding up both Cousin and Faye from leaving. Hope they allow both players to move on.

Would rather see the gradual introduction of some of really decent youths than waste money bringing in yet more overpaid foreigners. Sure, if there is a player who can improve the squad and doesn't cost and arm and a leg, but the squad we have has gotten us to the top of the SPL and there is no reason they can't keep us there - it's not as if there is really any competition.

Obviously for the future we might still be looking at a bit more quality in certain positions if the youths prove to be duds, and Davie Weir won't last forever at the back. But thats the future.

How can they class the deals together, the Faye deal is a loan, if he went back couldnt he be loaned out again?

Faye has already played games for Charlton and us this season, FIFA rules state that you cannont playe for 3 teams in one seasn so that would be the case if they went to loan him out again. Charlton will probably say that he's not in their plans, so in a way it would leave the guy out of football.

Not a bad thing, but hey ho.

Not really as he is on loan to us for the season so if he doesn't get a move elsewhere he'll be back with us. Charlton recalling him would say to FIFA that they want to keep him and they probably wouldn't let him go to Blackburn.

I was thinking more of the lines that we released him, probably wishful thinking on my part icon_biggrin.gif

He's only on loan to Wigan from Charlton so it would be silly for Bruce to say such a thing if he was thinking of making the deal permanent.

They might not want to keep him any longer now that they have signed King from Watford.
