oroborus
Following on from the FM09 / Man City thread, someone commented on Ronaldo (BRA) being a free agent, which made me think about all the other good quality free agents there will be on the game. Off the top of my head, all I can think of is Ronaldo and Stephen Appiah. Any other good quality free agents anyone can think of?

oroborus
It was 'Miniero', 33, who Chelsea snapped up; I've got no idea what he is like as a player. Diego Tristan used to be really good, especially on the old CM games. There must be more!

DMaster2
I really hope he can bring back the goal scoring form he had at Deportivo la Coruna - he was awesome! Poor West Ham, last year Tristan was awful and Livorno got relegated thanks to his everlasting bad form (i can't remember a single goal of this player last year). oroborus
Tristan is finished now, definitely a step in the wrong direction for West Ham. Ashton is injured remember, it's most likely a short term solution and if he does grab some goals, I reckon he could be a shrewd signing.

the--dud
I'm sorry to slide slighty off-topic here... But this thread just reminded me of a signing this summer. Deco went to Chelsea for just £8 million, which is an insanely low price considering the player you get. I presume, in FM09, Deco should be available for less than £10m at start of first season then? For realism... Also, is Charles Puyol a free agent soon? It's a player I've always wanted to sign but never been able to. But I got very close on an FM08 save, where his contract was expiring on year 2 or 3. Got him for a good price but he didn't want to come to my team

caz
Gravesen indeed is not retired yet. According to his agent he is still considering what to do. However he is unfit since the break from Celtic, so he will need a few months to get in shape again His first professional club Vejle Bk is probably the the best bid on a new employer if he does not decide to retire.
