suncrush
Anyone born in Northern Ireland is entitled to Republic of Ireland citizenship. It seems that that option might be SUPER common after Brexit among N.I. Footballers, who might like to go work on the continent. I'd like to see the number of N.I. Newgens with Eire citizenship go way up after Brexit, and an option to request a signing get an Eire passport.
decapitated
This is a very good idea for a small tweak to the game.

This is something that's very likely to happen after Brexit - why wouldn't a footballer choose to become an EU citizen, retain the flexibility to freely sign anywhere in Europe without a downside? It might be that only a few of them will choose to actually play for the Republic, but even for the most ardently protestant, unionist footballer there is it makes abundant sense to get the citizenship once you put the semantics aside.
