Player unhappy while manager is on Holiday

I occasionally go on holiday between matches, especially during the international break. Sometimes during this period players approach me with concerns and obviously as I'm on holiday I can't respond, the player then gets unhappy and the squad revolts.

Surely there is a way around this? The player "Leaves a message" manager responds on his return or the option to cancel the holiday if a player comes forward, similar to when a job is offered.

An option to allocate responsibility to one of the staff do deal with or at least acknowledge the issues would be good, but in reality, how many football managers go on holiday during the season?

you would THINK the player would know why you didn't answer his call. I've always hated when a player goes on vacation and THEN starts complaining about playing time (knowing no games will be played for 6-8 weeks.)

Yes I would love this option. It's a game, just provide the option for convenience, those who feel unrealistic need not use it.

100 percent agree with this. I holiday a lot during the off season to save time, but often come back to an unhappy squad because a player wanted a new contract. Why can't they just wait until I am back???

This has been a problem in FM for a while now but i actually find that in long term it's sometimes better not to speak to the player, that way you are not brought to account over any false promises and the player forgets more easily

With the new squad dynamics you'd probably have a revolution trying this

Yes. That would be ideal.

We all know the "holiday" mode isn't really going on holiday, it's just a way to skip to a date.

Reading Poch's book that he just released I am absolutely amazed that the answer to your question is......a fair bit!  At least where he is concerned anyway!
