Just looking for a bit of advice just currently playing about with tactics and trying to create a half decent 4-4-2 tactic, just wondering from peoples experience what two roles to use for my  strikers am potentially thinking a deep lying forward in support with a Target Man as attack, but open to ideas?

It all depends on the kind of players you have and the style that you want to use. There are three main possibilities (1) A space creator and a space exploiter, (2) two space exploiters and (3) two space creators.

Depending on how you foresee your team getting your goals you could employ any of the three. Space creators don't have to be players that drop off, they can also be players that stretch a defensive line and push it towards its own goal in order to create space in-front of the defence for a deeper striker to work his magic. So in that example the space exploiter is the deeper striker. Traditionally though the space creator is the striker that drops off, whilst the striker that pushes up is looking to exploit the space in order to score. Its all about the combination.

Decide how you want to score your goals. This will tell you where you need to create space. From there you need to pick Roles and Duties that create and exploit that space.
