Steam won't update/load FM18

So, since part way through the Beta last week i've been trying to load FM18 but it keeps telling me it needs to update. It starts the update but stops almost instantly and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it to fully update.

I figured maybe it was a beta issue so would wait for full release but i'm still having the same problem so haven't been able to get back on for about a week.

Any help would be massively appreciated.

Does it give an error message or does the download just pause?

If the download is pausing then try changing your download region from the steam -> settings -> downloads page, if that doesn't work try 'clear download cache'

If that doesn't work exit steam and restart your computer, then reverify the game files right click on the game -> properties -> local files. If that doesn't work try uninstalling the game and redownloading it.
